Welcome to Petite Pals!

At Petite Pals, we help little ones find their voice! We provide speech therapy for children ages 0-5 in the Rochester, NY area, offering free consultations, evaluations, and personalized 1:1 therapy. Bilingual Spanish/English evaluations and therapy are also offered. Our approach is fun, family-centered, and evidence-based, with therapy happening in the child's natural environment—at home, daycare, or preschool. We believe strong therapeutic connection is the foundation for building strong communication skills, and we’re passionate about helping every child grow and thrive. Together, we’ll make communication easier and more fun for your child!

Meet the Owner

Melissa Castelblanco-Colón M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner | Speech-Language Pathologist

Melissa is a NYS licensed ASHA certified bilingual (Spanish/English) pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with a strong foundation in education. After earning her Master’s in Teaching from the University of Washington, she discovered her true calling in speech therapy. This led her to pursue a post-baccalaureate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Portland State University, followed by a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Pacific University.

With over seven years of experience in both private practice and nonprofit settings, Melissa specializes in early intervention and preschool (ages 0-5) treating language delays, speech sound disorders, preschool stuttering, and supporting bilingual children with communication challenges. She is deeply committed to helping young children develop the communication skills they need to thrive and succeed.
